Offered is this 19th century (or earlier) Chinese hand carved polychrome wood figure of Guanyin (Quan Yin) seated with hands in dhyana mudra. She is draped in flowing robes and wearing a crown with Amitabha Buddha. The most prominent colors are rust orange, ivory and blue. The features of the carving show a very realistic serene expression. This carving is quite likely much earlier than 19th century but we are unable to guarantee the period as earlier than 19th century.
