This fine pair of antique 19th century French bronze urns/ewers have a rare silvered finish giving them a striking presence. The scene is painfully delightful with eleven cherubs in parade riding animals and playing musical instruments while drawing a maiden in a chariot. The top of the handles are graced by winged angels in a playful pose. These ewers exhibit the high quality workmanship which the French were renowned.
These ewers were at one time converted to lamps and still have the hole for electrical (as shown in the pictures) and could be reconverted if desired.
